Some of you will know by now that I am moving to Houston, Texas in August. I am going to be studying at Lee College in Baytown. I'm also going to be teaching my self-designed course:
Churchill 101 - The Making of Winston Churchill
I have also been offered the opportunity to teach at the University of St. Thomas and at the moment I am working hard on producing a DVD of one of my speeches so that I can submit it to them so they can see what I can do. I feel so fortunate to have such wonderful friends who have helped me get to this point - Yeah for friends! So really that's the news.
And now for something COMPLETELY different...
MICHAEL JACKSON
I was reading Private Eye, one of our funny magazines yesterday, and came across a wonderful article on Michael Jackson, I quote:
'The surprise is not that we have lost him, but that we ever had him at all. I never had him - not my type - but that doesn't mean others didn't. He touched a lot of young people in a lot of different ways.'
I think it's sad that with all the talent he did have and the great music he produced, like OJ Simpson, this world will mainly remember him for what he was accused of. I have always wondered whether he was guilty or not, but as it was never proved, and he was a really easy target, (like JFK), I think we need to give him the benefit of the doubt. The jokes are great, some are really classy, but hey, let's look at what we know to be true; he was a guy with incredible talent who most would agree really worked hard and certainly earned the title 'The King of Pop'. The guy's dead, let's let him rest in peace. What do you think?
That's it from me...I'll get back to you.
God Bless!
